I think FASB is meeting today and is taking up option expensing. I think it is a foregone conclusion that they are going to move to expense, considering they have always been in favor of it. The FASB chairman even said that if he was a betting man, he would bet on a change to expense. People in the industry all seem to think that they will adopt SFAS 123 standard since such has gained most acceptance in the industry and is what the FASB wanted last time. The question is whether the tech industry has the political clout it did 8 years ago to stop the FASB.
