H James Morris-- you are correct,, $100MM is like a fart in a hurricane to BRK. Check BRK out back to '65 and the shares have increased every year. Some As are a good anchor to any portfolio,,, adding Bs has been a great way to offset drops in other holdings. Sadly the Bs I bought last Sept have backed off to $2345,, but still up over $200 ea. We will not go into the As bought 5 years ago @ $47,500 (Yes we can-- they are @ 70,300 now). So,,,,,,, if Buffett makes a mistake or two --- or 6--- I hardly care. Wonder if the shorts here have as good a record.
LOL! But I'd not buy the stock or bonds for my personal portfolios,,, the amount in BRK is so minimal a BK would not even be noticed except when the bux come from the assets Buffet locked up for a paltry $100MM. Those that question Buffett are understandable as doing heavy DD,,, those that are critical probably have seen their portfolios drop to the point a B would need to be 75% on margin,,,;-]

1) $900mil loan, 2) $928mil pipeline purchase & 3) $450mil pipeline buy "cash infusions into natural gas" in last few months makes Buffet look like a piker on his piddly LVLT 100mil converti lottery ticket...

Smells of arm twisting by Omaha buddy Scott and a token buffet response to me...kind of like buying a 10 year raffle ticket for a new calloway big bertha at an Omaha Kiwaniis luncheon t'me.

So nice of you to put the touted BerkyBuy of LVLT $100 mil bond buy into such bold relief/emblazoned contrast...you SURE you are an LVLT "bull?"...doesn't sound much like it t'me!!
