You are what you are, as I am what I am. I can't really blame you for that, it is not in my nature. I might comment on it, I probably have commented on it, you would be hard pressed to keep me from commenting on it, but in the end I recognize the chains that may have forged you, and that made you who you are- whatever those chains of causation (whether infinite or finite) might be. (:-)

I cultivate the illusion of responsibility. While I cannot be sure it exists, the idea, even if illusory, does prompt me to act (maybe)- which is why I would not take the prop, or illusion of responsibility, away from society- because even an illusion is real when it animates a real response and action.

Humanity is just a word like all our words, and it means many different things to different people. Just as "decent" or "moral" or "kind" or "just" mean many things to different people. Many people on SI for example claim to be many things, that I do not see at all- and yet, I assume some of them actually believe what they say. So I suspect that judgments about some of these words vary so greatly, that at some point the words become meaningless. And I simply have to say to myself "Wow, now THERE is an alternate reality". I think we ARE responsible for our society, if we are responsible for anything. And even if we are not responsible, because I uphold the illusion (because perhaps I have no other choice but to do that) I have to think we can change things if we wish to. And I wish to.
