Israel has had Nuclear weapons for over 30 years and haven't threatened anyone with them except in the event that their nation is threatened with destruction.

That's the same shield that I wish to deny someone like Saddam Hussein, who would use such a nuclear umbrella to increase his influence in the region and act aggressively to subvert the existing balance of power there.

Having the gall to claim that Israel would unilaterally strike its neighbors with nuclear weapons is simply ridiculous.

But you compound it by ignoring the fact that Saddam has used chemical weapons against his own people. He doesn't care... Just so long as it keeps his opponents in check and there is no "price" he has to pay.

His being able to hide behind a nuclear shield would limit our ability to make him pay ANY price.
