If you knew anything about the history of those totalitarians you would see where Carville/Begala/Greenberg got their inspiration and training. Liberty is an obstacle to be overcome by them, and the culture that has preserved it for 225 years is an enemy to be destroyed. The politicians who blindly follow them, Daschlegephardt, Clinton, etc., are all so obsessively lustful for personal power that the concept of public service or the public good, or morality in general, is as unfamiliar as the dark side of the moon. The Founders feared people like them for a reason, while they figured we could always kick ass when necessary on "corporate crooks"...
