They also bought a ton of TYC and are very much underwater. Bill Miller receives a lot of credit for his great returns during the 90s. In looking back, it appears he bought the more speculative plays and they did very well until 2000. Now he is underperforming the S@P500. That can be said for many people on SI as well.
