In your mind only. Words without reason. If only it were true, it would be so simple. Re: "...Libertarian solutions have been proven to be vastly worse than sensible efforts at a well regulated capitalist system." The above blasphemy would seem to have been created out of whole cloth. Do you have a link on that apparently indisputable truth, as you would have it? Where's the beef? Re: "Just for grins, plug in Aug. 2, 2000. Look at what an unfettered capitalist system can do to your capital." Now if only there actually WERE unfettered Capitalism, there'd be beef in your conclusion. You state it, I see no reason to believe it, no real given evidence to cogitate and perhaps alter my view. Believe what you will, but you certainly will NOT prevent political power from being used for the few. The only real solution remains to limit political power, thus maximizing individual people power(these two are obviously irrevocably linked in an inversely proportional manner, save in the view of those unwilling to think). To believe in a method of using political power over others for the good, is to buy hook, line, and sinker the bait of money grubbing bureaucratic shysters whos' interests lie in collecting taxes and protecting their near valueless, non-productive "jobs." There is only highly regulated failure to look at, in these times. Now, that's beefy & painfully obvious, despite your grand illusions. Freedom is the only thing that really Works, Dan B
