Hard to believe the DNC thinks they can hold their own in the off-year elections by promising they will tax us all to prosperity. They even took the PR hit on one of their favorite frauds: Free drugs for greedy seniors.

The "Daschle Rule", requiring 60 Senate votes to pass a compromise on the Great Drug Givaway, prevented passage. The Senate then went on a REAL vacation, rather than the simple change on venue that constitutes the Bush "vacation", that they are flailing around, once again, to criticize.

Democrats assuming that black voters are stupid is racist, arrogant and contemptuous. But the blacks have managed to lean into that punch by voting 90% for racist white liberal Democrats. The black voters will rectify their mistake eventually.

OTOH, the Dem's demonstartion that they think seniors are stupid is just plain silly. Those seniors who see the folly of the Great Drug Givaway were voting Republican anyway, and the Dashle Rule will reinforce their opinion. Those seniors who want to rob their grandchildren for drugs, like they do for Social Security, are usually in the pocket of their local socialist. The Daschle Rule, like nothing else, will cause enough of them to sit on their hands in November.

Prediction with 2 months to go:

Republicans: +3 to +5 in the Senate (they may even get "Honest Bob" Torricelli rejected in New Jersey).

Republicans: +10 to +15 in the House (and possibly one surprise upset in one of those obscenely-anti-American black caucus "safe' seats (though the replacement will also be a Dem)...
