so you're essentially admitting your moral ambivalence and hypocrisy.

Hmmm... Let's see.. It's moral ambivalence to make assert that democratic governments, accountable to their citizenry, can be trusted with WMDs far more than totalitarian regimes ruled by a megalo-maniac's family who have ALREADY displayed their disregard for human life by using chemical weapons against innocent civilians in their own nation??

It's not that it inherently "bad" for Arabs to have nuclear weapons. What's bad is that there is NOT ONE Arab government which is accountable to their people, outside of threats of revolution.

And Sharon is a reflection of the current political status of the Israeli people. They tried to accomodate Arafat previously (though obviously not to the extent he wanted), but he just launched more intifadas and suicide bombings.

The result is that Ariel Sharon wins election to a NATIONAL UNITY Government.

Yeah.. you bet I want to deny people who are willing to engage in suicide bombings the opportunity to obtain nuclear weapons. And I want to "double-tap" each Jihad spewing "!#$&*(@!+" I come across personally.

And I want to deny Saddam Hussein from outfitting such suicide groups with these types of weapons.
