BUSH LIES FINALLY SINKING IN WITH THE SLOW ELK

TexasDude,

One of my favorite books on the rape & pillage crowd, exemplified by the Bush Land Grab Co.(SM), Inc. was Edward Abbey's classic, "Hayduke Lives". George Hayduke, patriot, ex-marine, deep ecologist and not very deep thinker had a term for the pests of the West, the interminably idiotic cattle that infest all the "red zones" according to the county maps that show Bush Country victory voting districts. He called them cows "Slow Elk". Well, we got a few of them that come around here from time to time, these slow elk. Mostly we call 'em RWEs. They seem to form a herd that hasn't heard that Bush is ruining their nation and their prospects, all for the sake of draining their wealth into the pockets of the CEOs of Lockheed, Boeing and Hallibacon crowd. The slow elk just don't seem to see they're being herded up with subterfuges like the U.S. Patriot Act which is strangling their right to speak out for their own individual liberty, in the hellish drumbeat of war which is designed to lather 'em all up, get 'em into a frenzy and then drive 'em off a cliff into the hell-hole slave system that Bush, Inc. sees as the best of all possible worlds. The world where Bush and his cronies control everything, and all the little people, like the poor, dumb Republican ranchers of the Powder River Basin are destroyed by the greedheads and their gas well pollution. Talk about slow elk, eek. Republicans, killing off their own, for the sake of fast buck, and with damn little concern for a sustainable future. Just ask those poor, dumb ranchers what kind of a Repuglican legacy they are going to be handing over to their poor, dumb and broke children. I wonder what the answer would be. "We were betrayed." would be my guess.....

re:"Sure has been a change of what Shrub was going to do, to now all this retrorse blaming everything on Clinton..."

New data shows that, even as President Clinton was leaving the White House, the nation was going into (or already was in) recession. Can you list anything that President Clinton did to: halt the market decline, restore confidence in the markets, or prop up the economy (as the nation went from the "best economy in 50 years" to a recession), after the market crash (which began in March/April, 2000 of his term)?
