I may be too fast jumping to conclusions, but I see a certain (hilarious) divergence in the thinking.

On the one side, the industry side, "cash is king" supreme now. Btw, getting some dividends paid out would not kill anybody. Especially not CSCO at 12 and change. Of course, if Chambers says he prefers cash (to his own stock for instance), I guess he knows what he's talking about.

On the other side, however, the investors are being told again and again, that "the bottom is in" etc, iow they are getting wooed to forget the cash and jump into the pool.

Well, of course, the wall street baywatch gotta make a living too...
