we finally broke the ice and are no longer "tunaless" has been a real tough season with few fish being taken up here two weeks ago we did get a baby, Texas tuna, only 64 inches long, about 200 pounds the rules allow you to keep that size for personal consumption but can not sell any under 73 inches Sat hooked up on a insane fish that took an hour and 40 minutes to boat 98 inches Sun a repeat on a 97 inches that intersected with my harpoon dart 15 feet down after only a 25 minute fight on the rod the best part is these were close to the only ones taken in the ledge section we were fishing there were 10-15 boats and as far as we could tell we were the only ones to hook up and for the Sat fish, at auction Sunday, for our entire area there were only four fish got one of the best prices for that fish in a long while and as I write it is on a plane for Japan I'll be in and out all week trying to get my hurting old body to recover, maybe replacing my old wreak car that broke down at 3:00 am Sat on the way to the docks, doing some family stuff and maybe going to sea one or two days before the Japan Holiday tuna closed days next weekend and possibly making a trade or two in this wacky market luck to all
