Hi all you amateur economists out there. I have a quick question for you. I'm trying to dust off the cobwebs on my brain. If I remember correctly, when the Treasury Dept. sells bonds, they are TIGHTENING money supply. Correct? I don't know what the volume has been this year on new Treasury bond sales. But if it has been significant, then that's going to put a further crimp in our economy which is struggling to avoid a double dip right now.
