Once the issue is brought to the justice system it becomes a shared responsibility. The system (sadly lacking) is responsible to see that an adequate resolution to the trauma is established. It is not enough simply to find the defendant not guilty for what ever reason, if the causal issue persists or if restitution has not been founded the system has failed.
