Got it! - Monterey Dunes Colony

In fact, this was the very unit I rented for several summers (first unit featured):

vacationrentalnet.com

Monterey Dunes Colony is a development of 120 beach houses built in 1979, just as the California Coastal Conservation act became effective. Originally conceived as 240 homes, the development was stopped at 120, all of which front directly on the ocean. Our homes are two of only fifteen or so that are ever rented. This secluded property is bounded on the south end by the mouth of the Salinas River, and on the north by an undeveloped state beach. Between those points lies over a mile of silver sand, with the homes, clubhouse, tennis courts, pool, Jacuzzi, and men's and women's saunas to entice you. Every visitor enjoys the spectacular sunsets of Monterey Dunes. Monterey is a 15 minute drive, Carmel and Pebble Beach are 20 minutes.
