Hi Henry,

Yup- I think whiplash is a good possibility in here.

Buy and accumulate stocks when everyone is selling.

Sell when everyone is counting their profits.

It has worked well for me before.

I think that patience is our greatest asset to develop.

No doubt that this recovery will start slower due to bigger excesses in 99 & 2000.

Having said that demand for chips is exponential as new products continue to be the next "hot item".

Even tough this has been a deeper recession than originally thought, there have been some developements during the recession that show the trend is still alive and well.

So you say what are they? well here goes:
1)DVD
2)Flat panel display instead of monitors
3)WI FI and 802.11 wireless
4)satellite radio and digital broadcast to mobile users
5)PDA's and their wireless services
6)laptops over desk tops
7)continued strong embracement by business with web-based services (GM is universally applying this to their dealer body - huge cost savings)

All of these have become more popular as pricing has been reduced. As this continues their growth will accelerate.

I still see a world where more chips will be used in our future.

All these chips must be tested.

Cohu leads in this sector. If chip growth does grow 23% in 03 and 20% in 04 - Cohu will do very nicely.

They now have their breakeven established.Growth will now fall to the bottom line very nicely.I think we are 3-6 months out from very solid performance.

Patience is the key and buy more on any final shakeout.

I really thought we would consolidate at a higher level - instead we've fallen back down to 2-3 bucks over book.

That has always been a safe buy.

Bob

aybe afgter aug14 we can get a relief rally.

Kind of scary but at this point a 2% drop vs. the 4% daily drops we have become accustomed to would be a relief. How times have changed!
