Krugman forgets Rubin StrongDollar policy will backfire
he assumes it might have been beneficial
he assumes it will endure

these economists are incredibly political
Roach is not
he is being attacked from all sides
but he remains coldly factual
he sanitizes the USGovt statistics
e.g. removing from his productivity numbers all "quality based multipliers"

I once wrote Krugman a letter to the editor in Sept2001
I criticized Greenspasm for his participation and justification and defense in the New Economy charade

Stockman: re: Krugman on Rubin. If Rubin merely arrived on the scene after the fact, then he makes a perfect testifier in clearing the deck of just who was responsible.
