Carolyn, It appears that you are talking about cellphone service, and we don't use Verizon for that. We use them for our landline phone service, and when AOL started invading our computer piggy-backing on Road Runner's cables, with the blessings of Time/Warner, we switched to Verizon DSL. Their land line service has been just fine for us, and the DSL high speed internet connection has been much more dependable than Road Runner, but RR only started going down the tubes when AOL got involved with T/W. Ted Turner can screw up a picnic in a New York minute.

Cingular is a subsidiary of Bell, hence the problems with them. I have also heard of the problems with Sprint. We use Alltel, which may not be in your area, but as we begin to travel a lot more, will be looking to expand our service beyond what they can provide. Let me know if you find a good one.
