Thanks for the post. If the local union officers are guilty of malfeasance, then throw 'em out. From time to time the international needs to rein in some maverick local presidents who try to act like fat-cat corporate Republican types.

Where I work, all six officers of the union local (including myself) work 40 hours a week ... like everyone else. We serve because we're dedicated, not for financial remuneration.
