I am not sure but my gut tells me that you should be able to delete IE and not outlook express. Perhaps someone else on the thread would be able to provide a better answer. In the event that you delete outlook express you may want to save the data files so your info is not lost.

Just wondering if you have enough RAM on your system. Do you keep your machine on all the time? I find that I get the blue screen messages after my computer has been on for a while and I have been opening and closing various programs. Occasionally, shutting down and doing a restart helps avoid that problem.

I can relate to that gun-shy feeling. Years ago when I had my mac I was always playing around and experimenting. That system was much easier to troubleshoot. With windows and MSFT stuff I try to be very conservative.

Patricia, in Win98 under add/delete programs IE6 and OE6 are listed separately. That makes me think you might be able to delete them separately - maybe.

Looks like OE6 is part of IE6 and cannot be downloaded separately search.microsoft.com

Patricia

I wish yall would quit talking about deleting files <gg>. You have to run the uninstall program. Deleting the file folder containing programs is a sure way to have to format c:/

If you have another browser such as opera or netscape you can try IEradicator to remove Internet Explorer and then download and install the latest IE version and you might be back in business.
