Maurice,

i won't stop you from shorting MWD. but i wouldn't do it based on your assessment of Roach's assessment of Greenspan. Roach is a very bright guy and worth reading.

you should know that he is a lot more intelligent and nuanced in his analysis than you seem to give him credit for.

also, Greenspan is a complete idiot. obviously there was the madness of crowds, but if you want to understand why the bubble happened, you have to understand the importance of easy Credit and greenspan's role in making that available. imo he has a good chance of destroying the dollar and reviving inflation, which Volcker had worked so hard to control.

i don't really have an opinion on MWD as a short candidate.

The Zombies wish to deny that they used their brains to decide to pay extorquerationate prices - but at the time, their IQs were very, very high. They knew it all, were boastful and definitely in charge of what they were doing.

Famous Quote from the Bubble Age:

"This is either bigger than Qualcomm or only a wild success. Forget about zero."

And so it goes!
