Many countries have WMD but none are as fundementally backward as Iraq." You've got some chops...you call my question naive and then give the most simplistic bumper sticker answers imaginable. Yes, Saddam has gas and has used it on the Kurds and the Iranians during their war. He attacked Kuwait and got his ass kicked. To use such weapons on Israel, directly or indirectly, would have the same effect as using them on the US, ie his total annihilation and hence suicide. Iraq is a backward country? Pakistan is more backward and it has nukes. And what does being backward have to do with willingness to committ suicide by using MWD on others? And I noticed you only mentioned attacks on other countries...I thought the RW didn't want us to the the world's policeman.
