Ted, I've been through the neighborhoods of Bellevue, and the place seems very fitting for a restaurant like Remedy. What better place to open up a trendy lounge than the city that brought us Starbucks? ;-)

Ten, I am not sure the inquisitive gormands live in Bellevue; maybe Redmond, definitely Seattle but Bellevue?........I don't know.

About the economy, I hear you. Maybe that's the best time to start a new restaurant, right at the start of the next boom. Hopefully. Besides, I'd better be doubly sure before I quit my day job for this thing. By the time I decide, the recession would probably be long gone.

I think this recession will have staying power for the NW........especially here. Airbus is making life miserable for Boeing; that coupled with the continuing decline in airplane traffic has reduced the demand for BA planes. Its unlikely the 20+k layoffs done so far by BA will be hired back any time soon. Adding to the misery is the tech recession....although MSFT is still hiring a few workers here and there.

I figure you've got 2-3 years to put a decent restaurant together. The thing I can't figure out is how you will commute on a daily basis from Portland since you don't plan to give up your day job? Thinking of buying a corporate jet? <g>
