Actually, my question was more or less rhetorical :-), but your experience demonstrates the value of a) having a good plan, b) sticking to it, c) ignoring the naysayers. This takes a lot of courage and confidence. Lots of people who jumped into the market either never had a plan or were so dazzled by those inflated returns they forgot to take their profits. I guess the lesson is that whether you play the market or go to war, you better have an exit plan.
