i saw a cartoon in one of the canadian papers that basically showed a Hamas leader with his group and they are patting each other on the back upon reading the comment "the middle east situation seems hopeless"...while the average Palestinian may well only want to live as a human being i do not believe the various militant factions want anything but a) temporary concessions from the israeli state as a stopgap measure until b) they see the israeli state fully destroyed... further in this same paper, they had an editorial which quoted your old president Reagan who basically said that when americans are attacked or abused, they have to respond...so the dude in charge of Libya got whacked but good and funny we don't hear much from him...this was a time period when i and probably most people had no concept of Sadaam H and the "Colonel" was the bad boy of the region...the editorial also mentioned that terrorist salaries are funded by Saudi A and that Sadaam H is putting cheques in the mail to the families of individuals who blow themselves up and take down innocent people in the process...furthermore, the incident at the Sinatra centre in a sense was a new low because a)Arab students go there too and b) Americans were attacked... it "minds the boggle" that the Palestinian people have allowed YA to continue to lead them when after several decades, he has not brought them anything substantial, only grief...he is a loser and he needs to be replaced, for both sides...
