There was a story about that on the news wires...evidently someone bought 40k contracts and then sold a lot of them throughout the day. I show total volume on that strike at 93k for the day.

Indeed a strange one, did O/I grow today on that strike?

BTW, The QQQ O/I putcall ratio for Aug/Sept is starting to sink again, down to .62. Looks like a lot of those QQQ 24 Aug poots (there was over 100K on that strike a few days ago) have been closed.
