Canon Won't Supply Printers to Dell
By Edmund Klamann

TOKYO (Reuters) - The head of Japanese office machine maker Canon Inc said on Tuesday his company will not supply printers to PC maker Dell Computer Corp, which aims to enter the printer business but may need a manufacturing partner to do so.

"It's my understanding that Dell (NasdaqNM:DELL - News) has been looking for someone to do ink-jet printers for them," Canon President Fujio Mitarai told Reuters in an interview.

"At the very least, we will not be doing this," he said.
