A rally lasting Tue-Thu next week? An 8 day rally? That seems most unlikely to me at this point. I think tech would be lucky to get another day out of it.

As much as manip is talked about, and I believe something happened couple of weeks ago Wed and we all know that there was intervention in '98 -- the direction of the market can't be moved to suit options writers or anyone else for more than a very short period of time.

COuld the market go flat through expiry or even see a higher high? Of course, it is possible, but given recent history it is considerably less likley than new lows.
