Hope I did not push your Hot Button with the Jeffersonian-Jacksonian-Hamiltonian-Wilsonian labels. I think it's interesting because it transcends party politics

Don't you think there's a clear mapping?

Jeffersonian - libertarian
Jacksonian - neocon
Hamiltonian - DLC Democrats
Wilsonian - liberal Democrats and progressives

Mead and the Jefferson/Jackson/Hamilton/Wilson thing has come up previously. Mead apparently expanded his treatment into book length, just in time for the current warblogger season. See #reply-17352382 . See also #reply-17651220 #reply-17477983 , and #reply-17478423 for other sightings.

The local CFR representative weighs in with the usual insider comments on the inimitable Mr. Mead in #reply-17652949 , #reply-17479642 and #reply-17481065 .

Hello, CB. I found the Mead piece interesting. Thoughtful. Not my kind of categories but worth reading about.
