I got a good laugh out of the markets yesterday. At about 3:20, I was telling colleagues to watch the INDU at 3:30 to see the shorts sell the market in anticipation of CSCO's results. Here is the chart. (It is yesterday's one-day INDU chart.)

That 15 minutes of action even surprised me but we have killer whales operating in a vacuum setting the tone. You probably noticed that the "analysts" bumped CSCO down earlier this week. I don't think CSCO's results were all that great (sales anyway) but I think the first 30 minutes today should provide some more fun. One more comment about analysts. I heard one state that a certain firm had a pristine balance sheet. Unfortunately, that "pristine" balance sheet also had a negative retained earnings of about $40 billion caused by the write-down of goodwill.

Finally, I remember you from the "oil patch" threads. I have bought VRC in the single digits and sold in the double digits religiously over the last 30 years. I love that little company.
