Actually, totalitarians of whatever political stripe, can 'get along' rather well... they recognize kindred power-mad spirits.

It's the peoples who believe in democratic government, and who oppose Caesars, which totalitarians instinctively recognize as their enemies.

It's really liberty versus oppression.

The Nazi's and Stalinists get grouped together, and easily include Clinton and Carville (based on their totalitarian propaganda methods). On the opposite end you find Thomas Jefferson, Edmund Burke, Ronald Reagan, etc. These are the type of people hated by the American left and their many agents in the media-who thus put the Nazi's on some theoretical "other side" from their beloved communists. It's their training, you see, they can't help it, any more than the empty-headed liberals who spew their drivel on this thread...
