the poll to which I refer:

As I said in my post, I don't doubt that a poll right now would be against the war. However, I don't accept "popularity" polls, such as you cited, as being of any consequence.

You said "polls"... and then cite an unfinished CNN poll.

Any other sources? Perhaps even a completed poll?

"Here's another post citing an article which notes the fact most polls are conservatively skewed, so it's probably not liberals responding to that poll. Those numbers would probably up the anti-war sentiment."

Notes the fact "most polls are conservatively skewed"???

The post your provided was an item from Newsmax which said "Unlike many online polls, which usually tilt conservative"... Where did you find a statement of fact or evidence of such?

Apparently, you have either misunderstood what you read or are not being entirely truthful in your representations.

Karen, on-line polls are unscientific because they represent a self-selected sample. When CNN (or the WSJ or Gallup or any other reputable pollster) publishes a "poll", part of the polling process is careful sampling of the target group, e.g. Americans over 18 or likely voters.
