EC, report from "klondike bill" on the road. back in whitehorse (wash & trading), spent 9 days down in haines with sister & brother-in-law, sockeye running, got good video of grizz feeding on left overs from fishermen. next stop dawson city to see some friends and check out mining production - then back to whitehorse - down to atlin - back to whitehorse - back to haines (daughter & son-in-law flying in for a week. stopped on the cassiar above the jamison mine (about 90 meters below the road and dug some 'stuff' out of a rise nest to the road. actually got a little (very little) color mixed in with some tiny pieces of quartz. there's been trouble with the indians (the young ones) on the cassiar - trashing campers and burning hunter's campsites so haven't done much 4 wheeling in that area. heading back when the leaves start to change and plan to explore the area west of quesnel and north of whistler. very interesting plates in the mts. around litton.
