At least now, I am much more relaxed, and can buy my stocks as the market gives me the opp. and I can keep my cost basis low...heck, I've been buying for awhile now.....if I wasnt averaging down, the losses would be huge......but since I have utilized this strategy, I have been able to buy as we drop, and as I said, I feel I own some good companies at some good prices.....and a few lottery tickets mixed in as well.......so, I am relaxed...a whole lot more then if I had high cost basis's and no dry powder to buy the massacre days.....Now, when I think of the possibility of dow dropping to 5000, naz to 500 and etc, etc, I dont freak out like some people who may be fully vested or are on margin and dont have dry powder ready....at least when I hear all this ugly bear talk about ridiculous numbers like 5000 dow and 500 naz, instead of $hitting in my pants and worrying, I just look at the wife, laugh and I dont worry one bit if that scenario hapens, because if it does, I'll be buying extr for $1 a share and csco for .25 a share......and I'll buy happily and stress free.......as I said, the lower the indices are when you buy, the SAFER the buy is....so, I would feel much safer buying at naz 500 then I did at naz 5000, 4000, 3000, 2000 and etc........the lower we go, the more realistic and in-line valuations will get, and in many cases, many stocks will be oversold as they are now, even thought they may drop further.......I'm not worried about the beas I bought at $4.75, and would gladly buy more at $1.50......no stress here...just enjoying the ride up and down......
