Reports Q2 (Jun) earnings of $0.04 per share, $0.01 better than the Multex consensus of $0.03; revenues fell 0.7% year/year to $196.1 mln vs the $198.3 mln consensus.




16:05 ET MXIM Maxim Integrated misses by a penny (29.24 +1.14) -- Update --
Reports Q4 net of $0.20 a share, $0.01 worse than the Multex consensus. Revs rose 8.4% sequentially to $280.1 mln (consensus $278.65 mln). MXIM sees Q1 revs up sequentially (consensus $291.1 mln). "We hope, and we see some indications, that the business climate in the coming year is improving so that we can eventually increase our growth consistent with our past performance."




16:04 ET AA Alcoa senior debt cut by Moody's (24.97 +0.87)
Moody's downgrades the co's senior unsecured rating to A2 from A1, reflecting the agency's concerns over the contraction in AA's credit profile that has occurred from weak industry fundamentals and anemic aluminum prices, in combination with debt financed acquisitions.
