RtS, [text added below] I didn't expect better and think they did well. WSJ reaction...

TECHNOLOGY ALERT
from The Wall Street Journal
Aug. 6, 2002

Cisco Systems posted a strong surge in fiscal fourth-quarter
net income as revenue rebounded from a year earlier. The
company continued to grab market share amid a slump in demand
for networking equipment.

Up tomorrow with profit taking after lunch. :)

[added] Forbes' cover is about telecom, specifically local phone companies. They may be next to fall because an increasing number of local lines are cancelled [I just did that] and they're not ramping DSL fast enough and those that get into long distance suffer from competition and falling rates. But they are forced the spend much capex, even though they're reigning that in. forbes.com

HI RtS,

A good reaction to what could be negatively interpreted would be the strongest action I could hope for.

Strength after marginal news not being negatively interpreted would be the one greatest chink to put into the shorts armor.

If we see strong futures tomorrow A.M. - it would be very bullish.

The makings of a confirmation follow thru day on big volume.
