OT - I think you buy a home to start obtaining equity, but how long a person stays in a home is governed by many factors, not all under the control of the individual.

Kulicke & Soffa cuts revenue forecast

WILLOW GROVE, Pa., Aug 13 (Reuters) - Semiconductor equipment maker Kulicke & Soffa Industries Inc. (NasdaqNM:KLIC - News) on Tuesday said quarterly revenue would fall short of its expectations because of sluggish demand for electronics.

The company cut its revenue forecast for the fiscal fourth quarter ending Sept. 30 to a range of $105 million to $115 million. In July it said it expected revenue to be flat or slightly up from the third quarter's $132.4 million.

Chairman and Chief Executive C. Scott Kulicke said in a statement that end-user demand for electronics products is sluggish and the company is seeing near-term slowdowns in most of its product offerings.

Kulicke also said it was difficult to gauge future demand.

The chip equipment industry has been hammered by a fresh wave of cuts in capital spending by chip makers and weakness in demand for chip-hungry hardware like personal computers.

Kulicke shares closed at $5.26 in Monday's Nasdaq trading. They have plummeted 75 percent since reaching a high of $21.67 in April.
