It is interesting to note:

1) Know what Saudi mega-investor Prince Waleed al Talaw is doing.

2)€ as a destination perhaps.

3) The Europeans (minus the British) are already backing off -openly- from supporting ny action against Iraq.

4) Worth keep following these developments

<I think the Saudis will speed up repatriation of their funds, by first slowing down acquiring new ones in USD-space, just in case, just as Japan started repatriating, followed by China. Getting out while the getting is still good.>

Good grief Jay, we'll have to stop meeting like this. What about some disputatious warfare and roasting barbeque? For some time it has been apparent to me that one of the major levers the USA has is all the money which has been shipped into USA control, and that includes the money invested in places like China by companies such as Samsung and K T Freetel which have formed joint ventures with American companies.

Even innocent me has shipped some of my ill-gotten gains back here, just in case, back in May Y2K, and I do NOT expect either me or New Zealand to be anything other than USA allies. New Zealand was one of the few countries to very quickly send troops to Afghanistan, up into the mountains. Colin Powell and King George II were happy; Colin saying we are very, very, very good friends - positively beaming [when PM Clark went calling].

I have got another Tonka Truck load of US$ waiting for the exchange rate to blip down to my level.

If I'm repatriating, just in case, clearing the decks, ducking and covering, you can be sure that Saudis, Japanese, Chinese, Saddam, Kuwait and others with serious things to worry about will be wondering how to hide their wealth which is bound up intricately with the USA Empire. Their problem is how to hide an elephant.

That process will NOT drive the USA stock market higher - even QUALCOMM and cdma2000, which will bring Peace, Light [at 450MHz to 2.5GHz], Harmony [with turbo-coded synchronisation] and Love [of profits if not humanity] to people around the planet will wallow for a while.

Yes, yes, it might well drive gold prices higher.

PLHL,
Mqurice
