military procurement........there was a news item on fox a week ago ... Military selling some item on ebay and another some other location out buying the stuff at full price.... It seems there is no central inventory records on computer storage for procurement... If we are to have a tech turnaround all we need is for the gov. to update their systems.

A good column on my "hobby horse", military procurement. We spend billions for B-2's and F-22s, and can't take care of the grunts. From WP

Interesting colum. It's paralleled by a portion of Hillary Clinton's speech to the DLC last week. She noted she had interviewed US troops who came back from Afghanistan. In the course of the interviews, she asked each one if they were short any supplies, whatever. They all answered they were well supplied. She noted that she had asked the same questions of NYC police officers and fire fighters. They all offered long lists of needed items.

If we are going to be fighting on all fronts, something is wrong.
