Maybe investors are beginning to believe that the Saudis may take their dollars and put them in gold (not that they aren't already). Actually, it's quite true that if you believe something you will see it. Just keep the CBs away from the collection baskets. :-)

Networking behemoth Cisco reported after the close on Tuesday a fiscal fourth-quarter profit that topped analysts' expectations and indicated that first-quarter sales are expected to be flat to slightly higher on a sequential basis. Cisco also upped its share-repurchase program by $5 billion.

Reduce shares and you increase earnings per share.

Interest rates if there was enough interest in using the rates for growth there would not be any rumors of new cuts.
