Hawk t34 was a modified t32 morozov.com.ua It was accepted by army in 1939 morozov.com.ua well anyways, I am no expert on weapons but I liked conclusion of US experts in 1942 ( from one of your links) 9. Despite the advantages of the use of diesel, the good contours of the tanks, thick armor, good and reliable armaments, the successful design of the tracks etc., Russian tanks are significantly inferior to American tanks in their simplicity of driving, manoeuvrability, the strength of firing (reference to muzzle velocity), speed, the reliability of mechanical construction and the ease of keeping them running. I think the conclusion was that Sherman was superior to t34 :-)) re: Stalin's plan it was no secret that Stalin considered a strike against Germany but not in 1941. Then again Stalin was insane so who knows..... thanks for the links -Albert
