This is just about the transition if a company now adopts FAS 123. The issue is whether they just expense options going forward, which would mean misleadingly low expenses for the first four years or so (the exact period depends on their vesting schedules), or whether they have to report also on expenses from prior year option grants that are not yet fully vested.
