I don't think so, LB. What's at work here is a general wish to deny unpleasantness imo. That a major branch of a major religion, backed by major $, has been poisoning the minds of millions of Muslim youth all over the world deeply undermines the entire Liberal worldview, which is based on the idea that nations are rational and will act in their self-interest.

Might be interesting to test the NYT and WP, etc...maybe several people could write their favorite pundit...see if any of them pick up the stick and run with it....

My guess is we won't hear a thing about this from the NYT, LAT, or WP....
