The wine that is used by Codeweavers, CorelDraw, Lindows, Borland Kylix etc. is this one:

winehq.com

I browsed through their FAQ and found this:

winehq.org

There is only one other CPU platform that wine has been developed for, and that is alpha. But since Microsoft doesn't do much with the alpha processor any more, I guess that's a dead end.

Wine is a Windows implementation - it doesn't emulate anything. That's why it requires Windows compatible hardware.
