When will Microsoft be releasing _its_ vulnerability analysis for this flaw?

john,

when are you going to learn that it is not the operating systems that has to be secure but the database. isn't that were the data is stored and manipulated. if solaris, windows, linux all have holes in them then it is even more of a reason to search out the most secure, scalable and reliable database. the operating system is irrelevant. get with the program.

rocky.

Funny thing that, you can use Solaris perfectly well without using RPC, disabling it is a routine security measure for web servers and what have you. That's not true with Windows NT/2000/XP, although I don't know of any recent exploits. Perhaps someone else can help here ;-).
