only that notion is not the current conventional wisdom
where did I argue against gold as deflation hedge?

gold has shown itself to be a great deflation hedge empirically
and eventually that notion will be widely known and accepted

yes, we agree, the Fed will win
yes, much of monetary expansion offsets "burned capital" from bankruptcy liquidations

but I always see the Fed overshooting
they raised rates too high in 2000
they will lower too low and for too long in 2002-03
they rely on incredibly shitty statistics
e.g. CPI, PPI, Productivity, GDP
