No need. I have been hunting down all the references from your post trying to get back to any irrelevent postings I could find. I did find a Hitler quote.

It UNDERSCORED the duplicity inherent in schools where self interest invoked indoctrination rather than an invitation to think and question. I think the intended irony was obvious to most everyone, and I am nonplussed that it seemed "silly" to you.

You are surely aware that much schooling is indoctrinal? You know (I am sure) that it serves the political culture and authority?

I did quote Hitler once with L.L. (earlier on this thread) as regards the importance of indoctrination of belief as it assists totalitarianism and dictatorship. I think you were moving at the time, and probably missed the post.

I have never found Hitlerian quotes "fatuous". So many died. "FATUOUS" does not honour them.

As to the books...Years ago I gave away a couple of thousand books. It was a time when I realized that I was going to die--and that everything I wished to read was available to me free...and the rest was EGO. Most of those books you are putting into shelves (make sure to dust them first)--you will never open again. Life is busy...
