I just love the irony... Here is what Econnect, founder of the Protective Action League (PAL), wrote about David Evans back on 5/31/01: PAL is a new organization that has been created to combat Internet bashers and others that target public companies unfairly and sometimes anonymously. PAL was contacted yesterday by Alliance Equities, a major shareholder in eConnect, who expressed grave concern over the false and misleading statements by Mr. Evans. Here is what David Evans got to write today about the CEO of Econnect: Thomas Hughes, chief executive and chairman of Econnect Inc., was arrested by FBI agents and charged with securities fraud for attempting to boost the Internet security company's stock price by distributing false press releases. - Jeff
