Sometimes I feel like I've been invested in half the TSE, over the years. I know I've been into several of those stocks and considered several others. I'm now using Technical Analysis for all of my investing. When I identify a stock through T/A, I will have a quick look at the recent news and upcoming events. KCA is an example of why I no longer read any of the stock threads, here or elsewhere. I was holding a fairly large position in KCA. On StockHouse there was an active KCA board and an active member's only (or some other name? I can't remember what term they used there.) KCA board. The true believers hung out at the member's board. I tried to start a discussion about whether the President/CEO of KCA was doing a lot of Insider selling. A couple of the a-holes attacked me. I viewed that as a heads-up. When the price is going down, the CEO is selling (or might be), and the true-believers are attacking anyone who questions anything, it's time to get out. I got a technical sell signal and I sold. The KCA Daily Chart looks god-awful, right now.stockcharts.com [e,a]dallyiay[dc][pb20][vc60][iUd20!Ub14!Ll14!La12,26,9!Lp14,3,3!Lc20]&pref=G I have lists of stocks that I scan for certain criteria. KCA is on one of the lists. I'd venture in again, if I saw the right T/A set-up. At this point, the Fundamentals of any stock mean absolutely nothing to me. You know how they ask at the airport - did you pack this bag? Well, my faith in Corporate honesty is such that I ask myself - did you prepare this company's books? If not, then you really don't know what's in there. Mostly, right now, I'm staying the course with my small gold stocks and cash. This market is too crazy and volatile for me. When/if sanity ever returns, one stock that I no longer hold, but would again, is PIL.TO. This PIL.TO Daily Chart is also ugly, but better than the KCA chart, at this time. Not a buy here, either, IMO.stockcharts.com [e,a]dallyiay[dc][pb20][vc60][iUd20!Ub14!Ll14!La12,26,9!Lp14,3,3!Lc20]&pref=G I think capital preservation and patience are still really important. Cush
