Bill,

Please give me some credit. That I may have said. That also would have been accurate. How was I to know that AOL would give Amazon $100 million late last summer? I know it was an investment:-) Anyhow, Amazon would not have had sufficient working capital for the the fall holiday season of 2001 if it were not for the extra $100 million. The $100 million was not in my projected cash flow analysis. I know I am very far from perfect but I really believe I have predicted the fundamentals of Amazon quite well all along.

They can survive now but they need to charge for shipping. It would become a huge number on the bottom line even if it were only $6.00 per shopping cart checkout.
